Two items to mention on this one...

I'm looking forward to getting reader feedback when the story goes live. Cavan Terrill at Fusion Fragment didn't indicate that the tale caused him any undue distress, but recently I had one Editor who found the story too disturbing to purchase.

There's no way that "Chaperone" would be the story it is without the insights, stewardship, and TLC of maryrobinette. What seems like ages ago, Mary and I had the chance to collaborate on this tale, but the opportunity we were pursuing didn't work out. I'm absolutely thrilled to see the story get to run in Fusion Fragment and a huge thanks to Cavan for picking it up.
